HC Women’s Tennis Builds Momentum in Strong Fall 2025 Season
The Hillsborough College Women's Tennis team delivered a powerful and well-rounded Fall 2026 season, showcasing depth, experience, and emerging talent across the roster. With impressive results at regional and national events, the Lady Hawks have positioned themselves as a serious contender heading into the spring.
One of the standout achievements of the fall came from the sophomore duo Younsoo Cho and Noah Rojas, who captured both the ITA Regional Championship and the ITA Cup National Doubles Championship. Their chemistry and aggressive style proved dominant throughout the season, earning them recognition as one of the top doubles teams in the country.
In singles play, Cho continued her strong form, finishing as the ITA Regional Champion and ITA Cup National Champion, while sophomore Sydney Stark made an impressive run of her own, placing second at both the regional event and the ITA Cup. Their performances highlighted the team's strong presence at the top of the lineup.
The sophomore class as a whole played a major role in the team's success. Salomea Jasiczek turned in one of the most consistent fall campaigns in the program, posting an outstanding 11–2 record in both singles and doubles. Her reliability and competitiveness anchored the middle of the lineup throughout the semester.
Returning sophomore Aisulu Zholbolat, coming off an exceptional freshman year, continued to show growth with solid performances across both singles and doubles. Her experience and steady play add a crucial layer of depth to the squad heading into the championship season.
The Lady Hawks also benefitted from a promising freshman class. Emily Lederer, Naiomi Crowell, and Mirthe De Bresser each demonstrated consistency and maturity in their first collegiate season. Their development throughout the fall has the coaching staff excited to see them take on larger roles and contribute even more in the spring.
With a blend of veteran leadership, proven performers, and emerging newcomers, the Fall 2026 season showcased a team with strong chemistry and significant potential. As the Lady Hawks transition into spring competition, expectations are high for another successful run—and the foundation built this fall suggests they are ready to rise to the challenge.
